this is a story

dad came home from work yesterday and said “the strangest thing happened to me”
he explained how he had to go meet someone he previously worked with on a project and how after the project he got a job there and has been working there ever since. My dad had to see him yesterday for another project, the first time he has seen him in two years. 
he rung up “hi is bob there i’m planning in meeting him”
the receptionist replied “bob, right, yes, um”

when my dad was waiting for “”bob”” a woman walked past, who then stopped shortly afterwards.
“i didn’t recognise you!” the lady said
“bob? i didn’t recognise you……….either”
“a few things have changed since we last met”
“i can see” 

“for the first time in my life i was speechless” - my dad afterwards
dad tried not to call him bob and didnt have the guts to ask him his new name, he also described him as looking like dustin hoffman in ‘tootsie’
